Makhachkala, December 5, 2016. Moscow House of Nationalities hosted a festive evening devotde to the famous Dagestani poet and philosopher, a member of the Russian Writers' Union Abu Sufyan. The event has been initiated by Moscow cultural center "Dagestan".
As informed, a number of вistinguished guests, including the permanent representative of Dagestan to the Russian President Izumrud Mugutdinova, the president of the broadcasting company "ACC-TV" Yuri Lapin, the executive director of the International Foundation "Culture" Ermek Aldanov, the director of the publishing house "Literature" George Pryakhin, the editor-in-chief of the International journal "Forum" Vladimir Mussalitin, the other heads of the leading Russian media, the representatives of the Russian Writers’ Union and Moscow ethno cultural associations, the workers of culture and art came to congratulate Dagestani poet.
Having welcome the guests, the president of Moscow cultural center "Dagestan" Arsen Guseynov said that Abu Sufyan was a serious scholar; the philosopher wrote many works in the field of the seismic stability of buildings and the methods of applied mathematics that were widely known in the scientific community.
As Guseynov told, Dagestani poet was born in 1940 in Dagestan. In 1965 Abu Sufyan graduated from the Civil Engineering Faculty of Dagestan State University, then he studied at the graduate school in Moscow, and defended his candidate and doctoral dissertations.
For many years, Abu Sufyan is a professor of the department of building structures and hydraulic structures of Dagestan State Technical University. Having achieved great heights in his career, Abu Sufyan got carried away by the poetry and published several books of poetry in Russia and abroad.
Congratulating the poet, Izumrud Mugutdinova handed him a letter of gratitude from part of the Permanent Mission of Dagestan to the President of the Russian Federation "for the love to the native land - Dagestan". Mugutdinova also compared Abu Sufyan with the great Persian-Tajik philosopher and poet Omar Khayyam.
In his turn, Abu Sufyan told more about his work, presented some books and read some of his poems. In conclusion, the songwriters Marat Fidel, Valery Evdokimov, film and theater actor Islam Isabagandov, composers Yury Rybak and Olesya Gerasimenko presented their new pieces of work to Moscow public.
