Makhachkala, June 1, 2015. More than three hundred people took part in the "Prevention of tobacco use" action dedicated to the World No Tobacco Day, which took place in the Alley of Friendship in Makhachkala on May31. The action participants visited Medical prophylactics center to pass the mini-diagnosis of health: they checked blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, carbon monoxide and nicotine concentration level in blood. They also received medical consultations fr om part of hygienic education doctors using the anti-smoking inhaler technique "Smell health" and a collection of essential oils. The young person also tried free x-ray screenings.

Doctors spoke about methods of treatment of smoking, making more emphasis on medication and nicotine replacement therapy.

The volunteers of Dagestan regional organization "Young Guard of the United Russia" in cooperation with physicians conducted preventive work with the population. The flashmob attracted people; the merry music left no one indifferent in the park. The passers-by joined in the action by participating in physical exercises and dances. Besides, the Young Guards conducted a competition entitled "Score smoking!", wh ere everyone could score symbolic nail in cigarette props, thus showing their attitude to smoking, "I do not smoke!"
