Makhachkala, April 23, 2014. The Russian cultural and investment forum "Culture and Economy of Regional Policy in Modern Context" opening today in Makhachkala will gather more than 150 guests, including an Italian delegation.
The delegation is: President of the "Technotest" company producing testing equipment for construction materials, Massimo Fila, President of "Passetto" Group Cesare Scottoni, and official distributor of "Technotest" in St. Petersburg Andrei Jin. As part of the visit, the guests accompanied by Daghestan minister of labour and social development Malik Bagliev visited Daghestan State Technical University.
Participants paid particular attention to economy, construction, nanotechnology, developing various research activities within the university curricula, and international cooperation. The rector Tagir Ismailov briefed about the university and showed the guests the catalog of modern developments worked out by graduates from the university’s Civil Engineering Faculty.
Tagir Ismailov thinks the Italian delegation’s visit demonstrates serious intentions in the framework of further strategic partnership with the university implying not only interaction, but also establishing friendly cultural contacts. In turn, Massimo Fila said he hoped that the forum will be continued in some joint projects.
Talking to RIA "Daghestan", he said, "Daghestan has positive features that can help attract investment - the climate, the fertile soil and industrial infrastructure. There is a foundation to modernize on, and there is every reason for investment. I think, after the forum we will keep a close relationship with your government and continue our cooperation."
The meeting also included a presentation of projects in innovative machinery for testing building materials. The guests also informed that after the meeting, they plan to see the sights, traditions and customs of Daghestan.
