Foreign graduate students from Daghestan State University return in triumph from Russian show of scientific and creative works

Makhachkala, June 11, 2014. Foreign DSU graduates triumphantly returned from the Russian show of scientific and creative works by foreign undergraduate and graduate students of Russian universities held in Tomsk, a source in the university told RIA "Daghestan".

The event brought together about 2,000 people from 40 Russian universities representing 45 countries (DSU representatives were from Iran). Participants took an active part in the scientific and practical conference "Scientific initiative of foreign undergraduate and graduate students from Russian universities" and the round table "Foreign students’ public initiative". For students, there was a creative lounge and an online exhibition of their works.

Reports of DSU students aroused great interest with the jury and were awarded diplomas and certificates. The students were: Hashafa Adel Hamud with reports "Technology of producing thin films on the basis of complex oxides" and "Preparing nano-structured materials on the basis of bismuth ferrite", Esmat Gamil Qasim with the report "Sorption of zinc and copper ions from an aqueous solution of natural clay", Thabit Adnan with the report "Preparing nano-structured materials on the basis of bismuth ferrite", and Ali Rafid with the report "Specifics of the volume discharge’s evolution in helium at high overvoltages".

DSU Rector Murtazali Rabadanov received a letter of thanks from the chairman of the show’s organizing committee, Rector Peter Chubik of the Tomsk Polytechnic University, and the committee co-chair, Director of the Institute of International Education and Language Communication of the Tomsk Polytechnic University Tatiana Petrovskaya. The organizing Committee noted that DSU graduates had demonstrated successful scientific achievements and creativity.
