The press tour organized by the Press Ministry gathered a group of federal media journalists who came to Daghestan to participate in the Russian cultural and investment forum "Culture and Economy of Regional Policy in Modern Context" and see the cities and districts of the republic.

The 2nd group included photo travelers: Alexander Popov, Dmitry Chistoprudov, Ivan Dementievsky, and Peter Ushanov. They visited Makhachkala, Derbent, Gunib, Kubachi, Balkhar, Untsukul, Akhty, Rurush, and some other villages.

Following the trip, they will publish a number of reports in popular blogs on Live Journal and Facebook. First publications with colorful photographs are already there on blogger pages and social networks.

"Why go to Tibet when there is such a beauty in Russia? Highlanders are so friendly a people that you want to throw your TV into a ravine. High-mountain Tsakhur village. We spent 2 nights here. Amazing place and wonderful people," are some quotes from the posts from the group leader Dmitry Chistoprudov’s Facebook page.
