Daghestani journalists invited to "Media Peacemakers" contest

Makhachkala, September 12 /RIA "Dagestan"/ Daghestani journalists are invited to participate in the "Media Peacemakers" contest launched 22 August, a source in the Daghestan ministry of press and information informed RIA "Dagestan".

The all-Russian contest is for journalists covering interethnic relations which since 2008 has been yearly carried out by the Interethnic Journalism Guild in partnership with the Russian Ministry of Regional Development. 2 special juries will evaluate the materials and sel ect the best ones in categories like "Television", "Radio", "Print", "Internet", "Children’s and youth media" and this year’s special "Russian world".

Journalists fr om federal, regional and ethnic media whose materials have been published or aired in the media 1 August 2013 -1 August 2014 can apply for participation. You may apply until 1 October, 2014 by sending materials to konkurs@nazaccent.ru or snail mail to "Interethnic Journalism Guild", 125009, #92 P.O.B., 7 Tverskaya St., Moscow, Russia.
The awarding ceremony will take place in Moscow on November 25, 2014. The prize to contest for is a special statuette. 2nd and 3rd -placed media and reporters will be awarded diplomas. All the winners will have a priority in participating in trainings and workshops conducted by the Interethnic Journalism Guild.
