Daghestan officials participate in forum "Caucasus today, tomorrow..." in Vladikavkaz

Makhachkala, June 16, 2014. Daghestan representatives participated in the youth forum named "Caucasus today, tomorrow..." held June 10-11 in Vladikavkaz at the city hall and the UNESCO hall of the University of North Ossetia , the press service of the Institute of Theology and International Relations informed RIA "Daghestan".

The event was organized by the North Ossetia youth parliament and the Interregional youth laboratory for Caucasus development as part of the interregional project of building interfaith and interethnic partnership among young people called "No one is a foreigner" supported by the International Islamic mission, the Fund for supporting Islamic culture, science and education, the North Ossetia ministry of ethnic relations, the North Ossetia parliament, the Vladikavkaz Diocese, and the North Ossetia Spiritual Muslim Board. The organizers invited authorities, clergy, youth organizations from the North Caucasus republics, and employees of federal research centers.

The Daghestan delegation was headed by first deputy Daghestan Mufti Shakhban Hajji Ramazanov, and the Institute of theology and international relations was represented by senior lecturer in Islamic theology Gazimukhammad Mukhumagaziev and third-year student with the journalism department Mikail Mikayilov.

Concluding the 2-day forum, participants adopted an appeal of commitment to preserving peace and stability in the Caucasus and willingness to contribute to its development. The meeting ended with a gala dinner, a place for the guests to informally continue their talking and sign agreements on further joint fruitful activities for the Caucasus republics’ development.
