Makhachkala, November 27, 2014. The excursion to the State Duma of the Russian Federation was initiated by the Youth Affairs Commission of the Public Council at the Perrmanent Representation of Dagestan at the Russian Federation President for a group of Dagestani students studying in Moscow, the press service of the Mission reports.

Students learned the history and formation of the Russia's lower house of parliament, visited a number of factions and committees, got acquainted with the work of the Press Service of the State Duma, as well as the basic principles of the legislative process during the excursion. Students visited the main rooms of the State Duma - Stamp, Small, Red and the plenary hall.

One of the key points of the program was a meeting with the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Nationality Affairs Gadzhimet Safaraliev and the Committee Staff Chief Batal Biguaa.
The parties discussed the most pressing issues for many students, in particular, the problem of adaptation of Dagestan youth studying in Moscow, the issues of postgraduate training and employment of graduates, general questions aimed at strengthening inter-ethnic relations.

The students also visited the exhibition “Mosfilm - 90 Years”, which took place on the first floor of the State Duma. Among the exhibits dedicated to the history of the famed film studio were posters, props, costumes from various famous films, etc. In the end, the students made memorable photos and thanked the organizers for the opportunity to visit the walls of the State Duma.

According to activists of the Youth Affairs Commission of the Public Council Shamil Gasanbekov and Tagir Gadzhiemenov, such events should become an important component to complement the learning process, as they allow students to estimate the complexity and diversity of the deputies’ work, as well as to imbue with great respect for their legislative activities.
