Makhachkala, April 19, 2017. The "Culinary Journey" project organized by the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District (Russia) with the support of the Russian Federation Ministry for Affairs of the Northern Caucasus starts April 19 in Dagestan.
A tour across the ancient city of Derbent (Dagestan) will be organized for the culinary experts of the restaurant "Height 5642" and the journalists of the publishing house "Exmo". Two sites for the demonstration of the process of preparation of Dagestan national dishes will be arranged not far from the Naryn-Kala fortress in Derbent and in the district center of Khunzakh district.
Upon completion of the tour around Dagestan, the experts of the "Tasty expedition" will continue their journey in the Chechen Republic. Then they will visit Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia.
As part of the trip, the expedition members will interview the best chefs of the North Caucasus Federal District, meet experienced housewives collecting recipes for national dishes and visit local markets and sights of the republics.
The journey ends on April 28 in the Stavropol Territory. In September 2017, the publishing house "Exmo" will release a guidebook "Culinary journey through the Northern Caucasus" with the circulation of approx. 6000 copies.
