Caucasian climbers hoisted banner of All-Russian Internet Award "Prometheus" on highest peak in Europe

Makhachkala, August 13, 2015. Caucasian climbers hoisted the banner of the All-Russian Internet Award "Prometheus-2015" on the highest peak in Europe – the Mount Elbrus, a source in Media Association of the North Caucasian Federal District.

"This is not our first ascent to the Mount Elbrus. We had many reasons, hope there will be more. The idea of raising banner to the highest point of Europe is very honorable and significant for us, as for athletes, public figures and rescuers. The Internet Award "Prometheus" unites generations and nations of Russia. We wish the "Prometheus" new victories and new achievements for the benefit of our Motherland! "- one of the participants a public figure and a climber Maxim Bugaev said.

Previously, this group of climbers, together with the representatives of the regional branch of the Russian Union of rescuers climbed to the highest point of the Central Caucasus – the Mount Kazbek, where they also hoisted the banner of the All-Russian Internet Award "Prometheus-2015".

As to the head of the organizing committee and founder of the Internet Prize "Prometheus" Razhap Musayev referring to the ancient legend, the Prometheus was serving his sentence in the Caucasian Mountains. "We are very pleased that the Award banner visited Kazbek and Elbrus. It is the Caucasus, according to legend, where the Prometheus was serving his sentence.
