Algerian scientists attend meeting in Dagestan Committee on Religious Affairs

Makhachkala, March 30, 2015. Dagestan Committee on Freedom of Conscience and Cooperation with Religious Organizations met with scientists from the Abdulkader Algerian Islamic University, the press service of the committee told RIA Dagestan.

Algerian guests Bashir Kardussi and associate professor at the university Fatih Halimi arrived in the republic on a working visit at the invitation of Dagestan State University.

"The dignitaries met with the leadership of Dagestan Committee on Freedom of Conscience on March 25. During the meeting with the Chairman of the Committee Suleiman Magomedov was verbalized range of issues that need to establish cooperation and consultation. Further, the meeting went into a phase of acquaintance and communication with the staff of the Committee. The meeting asked the interests of each other questions, topics discussed religious canon, international and historical nature ", - the press service of the Committee on Freedom of Conscience and interaction with religious organizations told. After the meeting, the parties exchanged symbolic gifts.

The guests have already visited the famous fortress Naryn-Kala and the oldest mosque in the former USSR - Juma mosque in Derbent. They also participated in the round table entitled "Problems of translation of the holy scriptures, due to terminological features".  

Bashir Kardussi and Fatih Halimi read lectures on Islamic Culture and Civilization, the history of the Arabic language to students of Faculty of Oriental Studies.  
Algerian scientists visited Dagestan Institute of Humanities and met with the academic staff of the university within their visit to the republic.
