Makhachkala, July 3, 2015. On Thursday, July 2, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov held an exit sitting of the Working Group on preparations for the celebration of the 200-year anniversary of Derbent.

First, the Prime Minister drew attention of members of the Working Group on a number of instructions given by the presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District Sergey Melikov on the issues that must be resolved before the start of holiday.

"We have already reached the finish line. Indeed, much improved, but more must be done. Now we need to detail all the remaining directions of preparatory work for the anniversary to bring the work to its logical conclusion. Taking into account the nationwide scale of the event and the great attention from part of the the country's leadership, every detail is important"- Gamidov underlined.

According to Dagestani Prime Minister, throughout the entire period of preparation for the anniversary, the State Budgetary Enterprise "Derbent-2000" has been engaged in the construction, reconstruction and repair works in the city. Still, a number of objects lag behind the schedule, in connection with which the head of the republican government stressed the need to accelerate the pace of work.

Abdusamad Gamidov informed the participants of the sitting, that the operational headquarters for coordination of planned activities within the framework of anniversary (includes the representatives of relevant ministries and departments) opened in Makhachkala the day before.

Summing up, Abdusamad Gamidov announced a number of assignments. In particular, a meeting with the owners of hotels and restaurants should be organized; it is necessary to involve small-sized, comfortable buses. Besides, the representatives of relevant institutions have been instructed to care for planted trees in the city parks and streets on a specialized subbotnik on July 26, 2015.
