Moscow, October 21, 2014. Today, October21, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation hosted an official ceremony of opening of the Days of the Republic of Daghestan, the press service of Daghestani Head and government’s administration told the RIA "Daghestan".
The exhibition titled "Multinational Daghestan" consists of presentations of priority development projects and the investment potential of the republic, handicrafts, paintings of Daghestani artists, books of Rasul Gamzatov, the national poet of Daghestan and Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov.
Ramazan Abdulatipov, in particular, noted that the Days of Daghestan in the State Duma became a very important event for the republic. It is an additional platform for increasing the investment attractiveness and competitiveness of Daghestan and forming a favorable image.
"We want to show the achievements of the republic, its economic and investment opportunities; it is equally important to discuss the most important questions that could form the basis of federal laws with the leadership and members of the Russian parliament."
The official Daghestan delegation consisted of the Chairman of the People's Assembly of Daghestan Khizri Shikhsaidov, the first Deputy Prime Minister RD Anatoly Karibov, the acting Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Daghestan at RF President Izumrud Mugutdinova, Daghestan minister of industry, trade and investment Yusup Umavov, Daghestan minister of culture Zarema Butaeva, Daghestan minister of press and information Aznaur Adzhiev, Daghestan minister of economy and regional development Rayudin Yussupov, Interim Daghestan minister of national policy Zikrula Ilyasov and other officials.
Let us remind that the exhibition "multinational Daghestan" will run till October 24. The cultural program of the Days of Daghestan are also envisages the showing of a film "Rasul Gamzatov. My Daghestan. Confessions" and a concert of Daghestan pop singers.
