Seliger lake, Tver region, August 8, 2014. Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov visited the Russian youth forum "Seliger-2014" to see the camp infrastructure facilities, innovation sites and learn the educational, sports and entertainment programs, the press service of Daghestani Head and government’s administration told RIA "Daghestan".
Abdulatipov talked to the forum participants from different Russian regions who asked him questions and shared their ideas. The head noted that they should learn from other regions’ positive experience and involve young people in constructive labour. He also answered questions of youth organizations’ representatives. Abdulatipov stressed that a young politician ought to be a competent person, a leader of a youth organization, a proponent of a project, a person of good accomplishments, firm ideas and ideals.
Annually, "Seliger" hosts scientific and educational conferences, round tables, exhibitions, festivals, fairs, competitions, lectures and meetings with famous people. Ramazan Abdulatipov also gave a VIP-lecture on "How traditional folk culture impacts formation of youth’s civic, patriotic and moral consciousness."
In his speech, he stressed that the constitutive humanitarian values are the ideals of truth, goodness, beauty and love underlying any culture or faith.
The main goal is to change the cultural environment. Here, education and upbringing play a critical role, so we need to continue the search for new forms and methods of working with young people. For example, in Daghestan, over 30 municipalities set up centers of Russia peoples’ traditional culture. He also noted the positive dynamics and socio-economic development of Daghestan in whole. In conclusion, Ramazan Abdulatipov invited young people to Dagestan, see its sights and take part in the international educational youth forum "Kaspiy-2014".
Sharing his impressions of "Seliger-2014", Daghestani Head said that forums like this are very valuable and useful providing the most important thing - a live human communication. It’s the 10th "Seliger", again housing 30 different thematic sessions combined on 4 sites attracting more than 25,000 young people. Dagestan is going to be represented by over 140 young people here.
