Makhachkala, June 5, 2014. On June 4, Daghestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov visited an investment site in Gedzhukh village accompanied by the chairman of the National Assembly Khizri Shikhsaidov, the deputy Prime Minister Sharip Sharipov, Daghestan Head’s Plenipotentiary in the Southern Territorial District Mussa-efendi Velimuradov, and other officials.

At the site, Ramazan Abdulatipov was shown an innovative drip irrigation system by Israeli "AIC-Agrosystems". Within three years, the Israeli investors installed a drip irrigation system and mounted a filtration station in the area of 1,300 vineyard hectares.

Director of "AIC-Agrosystems" Yuri Kurgin said that a standard irrigation can bear a harvest of up to 50 kilograms per vineyard hectare. "With our system, you can harvest 140-150 kg per hectare. Out system’s feature is that for irrigation we use water with nutrients. In this area, we plan to plant 2,500 hectares of land and provide it with the drip irrigation system "- he said.

Ramazan Abdulatipov noted in turn that it was the most successful vine-planting project. "Our Israeli colleagues have praised our republic; we need to continue this work. This is the place where the drip irrigation system has been properly and competently installed," he concluded.
