Ramazan Abdulatipov pays working visit to Tatarstan

Makhachkala, April 27, 2015. On April 26, Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, within a working visit to Kazan, took part in the commemorative events dedicated to the Native Language Day in Tatarstan and the 129-year anniversary of the great Tatar poet, publisher, translator and journalist G. Tukai, the press service of Dagestani Head and governmental administration reports.

At the beginning, the officials participated in the laying flowers ceremony to the monument to Gabdulla Tukai. Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the members of the parliamentary delegation of Turkmenistan, the Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin, the members of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the parliamentary staff, the officers of the republican ministries and agencies, artists, creative intellectuals and journalists attended the ceremony.

Later, cultural figures recited poetry at the monument to Gabdulla Tukai, located near the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after M. Jalil. Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, in his speech to compatriots said: "We are proud to preserve a bilingual country. We understand that language is a legacy of our ancestors, inherited from the past. We should preserve our native languages!"
