Makhachkala, July 10, 2015. Yesterday, July 9, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov met with the representatives of the main political parties represented in the republic, as well as the head of the Electoral Commission of Dagestan. The meeting participants discussed the preparations for the elections to the municipal assemblies, which will take place in a single day of voting on September 15, 2015.

The meeting, according to Abdulatipov, has become "a beginning of the big preparatory work for the municipal election campaign."

"The most important is to nominate worthy candidates who really represent the interests of citizens, meet their needs and are able to organize social activists in rural areas and urban parliamentary assemblies. One should understand that we must first defend the interests of municipal districts, towns and the republic in whole along with party positions and interests. Any party must be closely connected with the interests of local residents" - the head of the region stated.

Noteworthy, 602 municipal electoral campaigns for election of deputies to the representative bodies of the municipalities will take place in the Republic of Dagestan on the single day of voting September 15, 2015.
