Ramazan Abdulatipov attends teleconference chaired by Dmitry Medvedev

Makhachkala, January 29, 2015. Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov participated in a teleconference Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev held to speak with heads of regions about sustainable economic development and social stability in 2015.

The Prime Minister stressed that success of anti-crisis measures will be strongly dependent on the work of all levels of government. "We will work in several areas. First of all, we need to support a really important part of our lives - macroeconomic and social stability, provide conditions for developing industry and agriculture wherever it is possible, boost innovation, and create environment for sustainable economic growth,"- D. Medvedev enlarged.

Due to a weak ruble, Russian products have become more competitive in both domestic and foreign markets, as said by Medvedev.
"By April 1, we will have approved a program of import substitution in key sectors. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will elaborate a list of priority products and software that we need to enlarge our production in," - continued the Prime Minister.

The government has already allocated a trillion rubles on developing the industry. The funds will subsidize the interest rate. In addition, the government is ready to become security in banks for companies so they can get loans and to continue their operation. Medvedev also proposed to limit the public procurement from foreign companies.

As for Dagestan, the preliminary data say that by 2015, the republic has seen a positive dynamics of basic economic and social indicators. E.g., in 2014 the growth rates were: 108.7% in agricultural production, 110.0% in investment in fixed assets, 109.1% in construction, 107.0% in retail trade turnover, 104.3% in the volume of paid services, and 104.5% in real disposable income.
