Ramazan Abdulatipov: "Agricultural sector is main lever to help us overcome crisis"

Makhachkala, July 9, 2014. "Agricultural sector is the main lever to help us overcome the crisis", Daghestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov said today at the meeting on efficient use of agricultural land with participation of all relevant officials. Anticipating the meeting, Abdulatipov noted that the land issue this is one of the most critical and pressing issues for Daghestan. "The most critical issue for Daghestan today is that the land be effectively used," - he said. - "It concerns lands in both republican and federal ownership."

Participant spoke about the dilapidated lands, delineation of ownership forms, registration of land ownership, detecting violations of land legislation, inefficient use of farmland, arbitrary seizures of land, unauthorized construction, inefficient land enrichment, unsystematic grazing, land erosion and degradation, etc.
Ramazan Abdulatipov said that if the land is ineffectively used, it must be withdrawn and given to those who will take care of it and use it more efficiently; charges for renting land should be better organized.

At the meeting, a number of regional heads made their reports identifying the main problems and proposing a set of measures to improve the use of agricultural land. Concluding the meeting, Daghestani Head gave relevant instruction to the responsible officials.
