Makhachkala, July 17, 2014. Today, Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov has met with the Russian Federation Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow, the press service of Daghestani Head and the government RD informs. The parties focused on topics relevant to Daghestan and the Northern Caucasus.

Concerning the problem of unemployment Dmitry Medvedev noted that, despite the high rates of unemployment in the region, Daghestan leadership undertakes a number of measures aimed at creation of additional jobs for the youth. The parties also discussed the issues related to the demographics.

"The demography in Daghestan demonstrates very good growth, but this process has a downside - we need to create a large number of preschool educational institutions" - R.Abdulatipov said.

R.Abdulatipov briefed the Prime Minister about positive dynamics in the republican economy and industry development.  "We pay special attention to the implementation of presidential decrees declared in May, 2013. In particular, the most important issues are the problems of education and the creation of school places, health problems. Over the last year several companies, including a large enterprise - Caspian float glass plant have been put into operation, which allowed us to create about 600 jobs. I think that the unemployment can be overcome by creating seasonal jobs. We started to develop the cluster approach in viticulture. In 2013, two hectares of vineyards were planted with the help of cognac factory directors and other businesses. This year we intend to plant more than 3 hectares and to create about 10 thousand seasonal jobs with wages up to 35 thousand rubles per month" - Daghestani Head reported.

"We have developed a target program; including with your support there has been allocated money for new kindergartens. At the same time we practice this construction: kindergarten plus elementary school. Kindergartens even in the highlands are built in strict accordance with modern standards. Daghestanis live in a completely new environment, people have positive mood. Normal legal and economic conditions have firstly been created in the republic since the Soviet Union collapsed "- R. Abdulatipov said. He also added that the average wage has increased in 2014.

In his turn, Dmitry Medvedev pointed out that all changes in public life and economy taking place in Daghestan are approved and supported by the Russian government.
