Daghestani Head comments on his working meetings in Moscow

Makhachkala, July 5, 2014. During his visit to Moscow, Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and held some other important meetings. He reported on the issues discussed and solutions approved, the press service of the Daghestan head and government’s administration informs.

Speaking with the president, Ramazan Abdulatipov informed him about the socio-economic situation in Daghestan, the progress of implementing president’s May decrees, and agricultural issues. He said that people’s culture and mind are changing, the situation has altered – people are focused on positivity, terrorists and extremists no longer have the support and sympathy they used to have. The seaport issue was also touched upon – its reconstruction, its gradual transition to corporatization, and creating a single operator in the port. Also, with the president’s support they will develop oil production. Then, the 2 leaders discussed Derbent’s 2,000th anniversary and its federal support.

During his working trip, Ramazan Abdulatipov attended the meeting of the governmental commission on socio-economic development of the North Caucasus Federal District chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Here, Daghestani Leader outlined a number of investment projects implemented in the territory of Daghestan. At the meeting with the Russian minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov, 7 Dagestan projects were discussed. They decided on holding in Daghestan a special meeting on developing the region’s industrial potential.

Ramazan Abdulatipov also told the reporters that "My Dagestan. Confession" film was shown at the Moscow Film Festival, and 99% of the spectators were delighted by Dagestan and Daghestani. The film’s great opening night is scheduled for September 8 in Makhachkala, he noted.
