Makhachkala, July 10, 2014. Daghestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov visited "7 brothers and a sister" – a fortress on a high steep hill a few miles away from Huchni village, Harba-Guran area – during his working visit to Tabasaran region, the press service of Daghestan Head and government’s administration told RIA "Daghestan".

Various data say the fortress dates as back as the 17-18 centuries. In the mountains, there are a lot of fortifications, towers, and castles, but this fortress looks unique. First of all, fortifications in the mountains are built from huge, almost rough blocks or from small hewn stones with no cement or mortar. The walls are built in regular rows on a binder solution. The wall heading for Huchni is about 50 meters long.

The fortress still stands on a high cliff with a stone hill in the vicinity. Ramazan Abdulatipov noted that it is a really fabulous place. "It is very beautiful here, and the fortress is in good keep," he said.
