Makhachkala, November 25, 2015. Yesterday, November 24, the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov met with the leaders of local NGOs, listened to their suggestions on improving cooperation with public authorities and gave relevant instructions to improve the delivery of social services to the population.

Opening the meeting, Ramazan Abdullatipov reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin paid great attention to the issues submitted for the discussion.

"This relates, primarily, to the restoration of order in the sphere of activity of organizations, some of which are funded from foreign dubious sources. It is also necessary to improve the usefulness of the NGOs wishing to operate for the benefit of population to the society; it is important that they have taken the part of the powers of social services" - the Head of the republic stated.

The Chairman of the Association of NGOs in the field of childhood across Dagestan Leila Gamzatova proposed, in particular, to establish a register of well-established organizations and to support them.

The Chairman of the Charitable Fund "Live and Give Life to others" Leyla Karimova, thanked Ramazan Abdulatipov for the support saying:

"We display good indices in treating little patients, but the diseases spreading tempos and the dynamics of morbidity grow too quickly. We need a Children's Cancer Center in Dagestan".

The Head of the region supported the initiative, saying that the issue was raised during the recent working visit of the RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to the Republic.

"Dagestan had already applied for the construction of Cancer Center, TB clinic and children's hospital. These are the issues we focus on"- Ramazan Abdulatipov said.
In conclusion, Ramazan Abdulatipov expressed intention to meet with the leaders of NGOs once again to discuss in details the ideas and suggestions put in writing.
