Makhachkala, July 28, 2015. On July 26, Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to the Russian Federation, a member of National People's Congress Lee Huei.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Ramazan Abdulatipov noted the adherence to the old traditions and customs observed in both China and Dagestan. Abdulaipov also reminded the very good relations established between the President RF Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Modern China is a good example of how to preserve traditions, to maintain their own people, to work for the good of the state. This experience of economic, social and political reforms conducted in the PRC is very important for Dagestan. I agree with Vladimir Putin, who chose China as a strategic partner of Russia” - Ramazan Abdulatipov stated.

Having told the Chinese delegation about the priority development projects of the republic, Abdulatipov highly appreciated the volume of work done and designated the prospects for the future.

In his turn, Lee Huei thanked Dagestani Head for the hearty welcome. He noted that the Chinese delegation visited Dagestan for the first time, but previously they heard much about the multiethnic republic.

According to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Russia, today both countries need to build strategic relationships in all spheres.
"In the last 20-30 years, China has been developing relations with some subjects of the Russian Federation. It is time to pay attention to the republic. We arrived in Dagestan yesterday, but today we have already appreciated its beauty"- Huei confessed.

Dagestani Head told the Chinese ambassador that the International Caspian Summit would take place in Dagestan in 2016. Lee Huei, in turn, expressed readiness to discuss the conditions for the success of such activities at the international level.  

In conclusion, all parties of the meeting agreed that such interaction was particularly important for the successful development of Russian-Chinese relations and enhancing cooperation at the regional level.

The meeting was attended by the deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov, the chairman of Dagestan Legislative Assembly Khizri Shikhsaidov, the vice-premiers, heads of ministries and departments.
