All set up for Ukrainian schoolchildren in Daghestan schools

Makhachkala, August 25, 2014. 1st Deputy Daghestan Prime Minister Anatoly Karibov chaired a governmental commission’s meeting to discuss Ukrainian IDP’s problems, in particular, preparing Ukrainian schoolchildren for the new school year, the press service of Daghestani Head and government’s administration reports.

13 schoolchildren from the "Dolphin" resort will attend №12 Makhachkala school. The school principal and officials from the ministry of education and science already talked to the children’s parents. They agreed on children’s extracurricular lessons. The families will be provided textbooks, school supplies, and school uniforms. The transport issue is the next to be solved. If necessary, the №12 school will be able to admit 50 more children.

Other 36 Ukrainian schoolchildren from the "Lezzet" sanatorium will go to Manaskent secondary school in Karabudakhkentskiy district. They have settled provision of school uniforms, school supplies, and catering issues. The school is ready to admit 100 more children, too.

Concluding the meeting, Anatoly Karibov called on the responsible authorities to speed up solving the unsolved issues to prepare the refugee children for the school year.
