Makhachkala, June 6, 2015. On Thursday, June 4, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov participated in the first national forum of food safety in Rostov-on-Don. The main topics for the discussion and debates were import substitution, investment in agricultural projects, the introduction of new technologies, the state and prospects of agricultural science.

The All-Russian Forum of food security is the first large-scale event for the leading players on the Russian food market and the representatives of related industries. It is aimed at promoting the successful experience on organization of import-substituting industries. The forum was attended by about three thousand participants – the leading producers of food, agricultural machines, farmers and experts.

As part of the first food security forum the Republic of Dagestan presented an exposition of the with wine and brandy products.

It should be noted that the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture RD Battal Battalov who signed an agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan and the LLC "Combine Plant" Rostselmash ". According to the document, the entrepreneurs of the republic, as well as the organizations of the agro-industrial complex will receive technical equipment for the modernization of the farm machinery park.

The two-day business program of the forum consists of specialized exhibitions and a congress event. The plenary session chaired by the Prime Minister RF Dmitry Medvedev will become central event in the business program.
