Abdusamad Gamidov inspects construction progress of new Dagestan perinatal center

Makhachkala, August 25, 2015. On August 24, Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov personally got acquainted with the construction of the republican perinatal center in Makhachkala.

Noteworthy, the construction of the facility is conducted in the framework of the state program of modernization of Healthcare of Dagestan for 2011-2016. The implementation of the construction was mostly financed from the budget of the Federal Mandatory Health Insurance Fund and from the republican budget. The perinatal center is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

Dagestan leaders pay special attention to a substantive issue. Dagestan Prime Minister and Dagestan public health minister Tanka Ibragimov weekly  inspect the object under construction. The perinatal center, designed for 150 patients, equipped with the most modern equipment, will start working in 2017.

"The consultations, treatment and rehabilitation of pregnant women or laboring women and newborns with the most modern medical technology will be provided. We pursue the goal to create favorable conditions for Dagestani women and children. This is very important for us", - the prime minister noted.

Abdusamad Gamidov pointed out that the construction of the important social facility was under strict control of Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the Russian Ministry of Public Health, the Federal Mandatory Health Insurance Fund and the leadership of the North Caucasian Federal District.

It should be noted that perinatal center is a specific technology of medical care aimed at the preservation of the pregnancy and birth of a healthy child, even in the case of serious mother's ill health. In these centers, medical officers diagnose and treat all types of infertility, use reproductive technologies and conduct various children and adults’ examinations.
