"Son’s confession" book exhibition opens in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, April 8, 2017. The Big reading room of the Republican Library named after R. Gamzatov hosts the book exhibition "Son’s confession". The event dedicated to the 205th anniversary of the Russian politician Alexander Herzen has kicked off April 6.

The book exposition consists of Herzen’s works, as well as the encyclopedias and editions in which the famous writer is mentioned.

Recall, the Russian writer, critic, philosopher Alexander Herzen was born on March 25 (according to other sources April 6) in 1812 in Moscow. He was the illegitimate son of the wealthy Russian landowner I. Yakovlev. That is why the future publicist took the fictitious name Herzen (from the German word "heart").
