Russian Peoples’ Traditional Culture Centre opens in Kadar

Makhachkala, June 17, 2015. The Russian Peoples’ Traditional Culture Centre has opened today, June 16 in the village of Kadar in Buynaksky district of Dagestan. The Center founders pursue an objective to preserve and promote the cultural and historical heritage, folk arts and crafts, familiarizing the population with the national culture and patriotically educating the younger generation.

The grand opening ceremony of the Centre has been attended by the deputy head of Buynaksky district administration Khadzhimurat Razhbutdinov, the member of the Artists' Union of Russia Shapi Rabadanov, the honored composer RD Ahmed Amirhanov and the head of Kadar village administration Gussein Iziev.

First the guests got acquainted with the exposition of traditional folk art of Kadar – the clothes, household utensils, musical instruments, spinning wheels and chests. As to Gussein Iziev, the Center aims to become a place for the revival and preservation of local traditions.
