Makhachkala, July 18, 2014. On July 17, Svetlana Iranpur’s exhibition called "Elation" opened at the Gamzatov National Library as part of Daghestan project "Nuggets." The exhibition features over 60 paintings done by her in 2014.

Svetlana Iranpur has expressed a huge artistic layer of various genres, trends, and her own life experiences in her art. Her brush can be called "a triumph of optimism." All her paintings are full of good mood, happiness of contemplating the beauty of the surrounding nature and objects. Her colour perception abhors dark tones; light reveals the beauty of each object in her paintings.

In an interview to RIA "Daghestan", Iranpur revealed the exhibition concept and explained the meaning of the name: "Colourful paintings are my elation, that’s what the name comes from. I’ve been through hard times recently – I got really ill, I lost my husband, and I had to get myself out of it, and I found this kind of way out. I try to put positive feelings in my work."

She also told about her painting technique specifics: "I would use a technique created by my husband: there’s a volume technique, a contour, mosaics, and a dot technique… We have actually invented a new technique, and we are applying it. That’s why the paintings seem so bright and dimensional."

Deputy Daghestan minister of culture, director of the National House of Folk Arts Marita Mugadova was the one to open the exhibition. She congratulated Svetlana Iranpur on her another exhibition and awarded her a Culture Ministry diploma.
