Moscow hosts “Dagestan through photographers’ eyes” exhibition

Makhachkala, October 1st, 2015. On September 28, the photo exhibition "Dagestan through photographers’ eyes” opened in Arbat Street in front of the State Academic Theater named after E. Vakhtangov. As it is reported, the event is organized by the permanent Mission of the Republic of Dagestan at the President of Russia with the participation of the Department of Culture of Moscow. The exhibition presented the work of artists such as Kamil Chutuev, Magomed Shapiev, Ivan Kozorezov, Ivan Dementievsky and photos done by the press service of Dagestan Head and government’s administration.

The exhibition revealed all the aspects of the mountainous region life to the audience. The portraits of famous Dagestanis, a beautiful natural paysage, works of folk craftsmen, artists, bakers, shows of dancers and circus artists, the whole process of the creation of art works were presented for the guests.

"We are very pleased to introduce the works of famous photographers dedicated to Dagestan in the capital of Russia - Izumrud Mugutdinova, the Permanent Representative of Dagestan at the President of the Russian Federation said - Dagestan, where more than a hundred nationalities and the representatives of different religious faiths live today as many centuries ago, is an example of tolerance, and we think that our residents should know more about our republic.

We want to acquaint Russians with the history, culture and nature of this wondrous mountain region. All climatic zones are attractive for tourism development, including geothermal water, mud deposits, unique monuments, places of worship.”

The photo exhibition "Dagestan through photographers’ eyes" will last for two months at the following address: ul. Arbat, 26 (in the middle of the street), in the front of the theater named after Vakhtangov.
