Makhachkala, June 2, 2015. The third International Festival of Folk Art among the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District "Caucasus - one family" kicks off June 6 in Avar State Music and Drama Theatre in Makhachkala. The traditional celebration of unity of peoples of the Northern Caucasus is organized by the administration of Makhachkala along with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of Dagestan.

The festival opens with a representative forum - the third International Festival of Folk Art of the Caspian countries and regions of Russia "Caspian Sea - the coast of friendship", which will be held in Dagestan on June 5 - 11.

The "Caucasus - one family" festival has become a traditional venue promoting and developing the multi-lingual multi-national culture not only of the North Caucasian Federal District, but the whole of Russia. Creative teams from Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania, Stavropol Territory will represent unique cultural traditions of their regions. The creative teams of our neighbor regions - Kalmykia, Astrakhan, as well as foreign countries - Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan will become the guests of the festival. Including folklore ensembles Dagestan.

Apart from a gala concert the "Caucasus - one family" festival envisages a rich program. On June 8 the creative teams will be solemnly accepted in the municipal administration of Makhachkala. Then the local mini festivals with the participation of creative teams will be held in each of city districts.
