Estonian pianist performs in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, September 28, 2015. The new season of Dagestan State Philharmonics has kicked off with the concert of the talented Estonian pianist, laureate of international contests Tanel Yoamets, the source in Dagestan Philharmonics reports.

As it is reported, the pianist is on a tour.  Tanel Yoamets has already performed with the concerts in Tbilisi, Baku and Derbent. After Makhachkala, the artist will go to Nevinnomyssk and to Turkey.

"The musician Tanel Yoamets has become acquainted with Dagestanis. A year ago, he was a member of the International Music Festival "Peter Port Assembly". This artist is known for his high quality standards and sound, before each concert, he holds a great preparatory work. All electrical appliances, making sounds are turned off, the piano-tuner tunes a piano, even though the hall is packed, but Tanel Yoamets carefully checks all instruments",- the spokesperson comments.

That evening, Yoamets presented the mysterious music by Estonian composer Lepo Sumera. Then, the pianist performed the compositions of the Russian romantic such as Scriabin and Rachmaninoff, and in the final, Yoamets presented some the lyrical pieces of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg who influenced the Estonian professional music.
