Makhachkala, September 22 /RIA "Dagestan"/ The Daghestan multidiscipline lyceum is among the top 500 schools in Russia. The rankings of the top 500 educational organizations that have demonstrated highest educational results in the 2013-2014 academic year has been prepared by the Moscow Center for Continuous Mathematical Education with informational support of the "Russia Today" news agency and "The Teacher's Newspaper" with assistance of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
Lyceum’ acting director Boris Hanukaev learned the news from RIA "Dagestan", and he was flattered. He commented it was an award they had really deserved, "the staff and students often take part in various Daghestani and Russian competitions and contests; they demonstrate good results in lots of Olympiads and conferences. We admit students on a competitive basis. If we notice a student regressing, we recommend he or she go back to school. The lyceum also hosts a variety of competitions, conferences and tests. As for the results of the Unified State Examination, lyceum graduates are significantly ahead of the average grade in Makhachkala and Daghestan in whole."
The top 500 Russia schools assessment is comprised of how the school contributes to solving one of the main education system’s objectives - giving students access to quality education and developing their talent, how well their graduates are educated (USE and National Schoolchildren’s Olympiad), what goals and objectives the school adhere to, how well they operate, plus considering other extended rankings and extra factors.
