Kaspiysk, April 7, 2016. Today, April 7, the "Moscow" entertaining center in Dagestani town of Kaspiysk hosted the premiere of the film "The Box" screened by the director and screenwriter Eduard Bordukov. The Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov and the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Igor Barinov attended the premiere.

Noteworthy, the premiere of the film takes place nowadays in many other regions of the Russian Federation. The film has been produced by the movie company “Telesto” with the support of the federal Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Foundation.

"The film touches a very complicated topic of interethnic relations. The older generation lived in a completely different environment, we had our own world, and we knew how to treat people of different nationalities. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the world has changed in many ways, and our young people have to relearn how to live in the multicultural environment. Kaspiysk is one of the cities with the multicultural environment. There are many different nationalities in our republic, but Dagestan still demonstrates interethnic stability. In Russia there approx. 186 ethnic groups. This is our homeland, and we are the citizens of the Russian Federation" - Ramazan Abdulatipov said addressing the audience.

As to the creators – the films is about friendship, love, teen problems, dreams, street football and the yard conflicts conditionally placed in a "box." At the same time using a seemingly simple material, the creators of the film managed to disclose rather difficult topic of conflicts on ethnic grounds. The film touches sharp, socially important issues, emphasizing the importance of dialogue among the people of different nationalities. The plot is built around the Moscow "box", where in the course of a popular game the heroes faced not only sports disputes but also some disagreements based on ethno-cultural differences.
