Tourists inflow increases by 20% in Dagestan - Abdulatipov

Makhachkala, February 7, 2017. The tourists’ inflow to Dagestan is continuously growing. In 2016 it has increased by 20%, the Head of the region Ramazan Abdulatipov noted in his annual message to the National Assembly of the Republic.

"In recent years we took note of the increasing interest to our republic from part of residents of other Russian regions and the foreign countries.  Mainly due to the development of new touristic routes, the new hotels and the convenient infrastructure, the inflow has increased by more than 20% in 2016" – Abdulatipov said.

The Head of the Republic recalled about the variety of unique cultural centers, more than 6 thousand historical monuments and over 100 healing springs in Dagestan. Thus, according to Abdulatipov, the republic has good competitive advantages for the development of tourism and recreation.
