Makhachkala, July 8, 2015. The Federal Marine and River Transport Agency offered the Russian Ministry of Transport to include the FSUE "Makhachkala Sea Trade Port" into the federal property privatization program for 2014-2016 years.

According to director of the FSUE Ahmad Gajiyev, the decision was announced in Moscow at the joint meeting of Board of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency and the Public Council under Agency.

Gajiyev reminded that the port had been scheduled to be privatized in 2011-2013, but according to the legislation, the land and waterworks could not be included into the share capital and the preparations for privatization failed. Besides, neither Russian Federation nor the enterprise administration registered the holder's property right for the objects of immovable property being on the balance of the FSUE "Makhachkala Commercial Seaport". Also, none of the real estate objects were included into the register of federal property.

"At the end of 2013 the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov addressed to the Prime Minister RF Dmitry Medvedev with a request to postpone the privatization to solve the above mentioned problems. For the present time, the experts are finishing registration of property right for the assets and conduct work on bringing the balance of the port to positive values to convert it into a joint stock company", - Gajiyev told.
