Makhachkala, February 13, 2017. Makhachkala commercial seaport is most suited to the implementation of project "Green Corridor" between the Russian and Iranian Customs, the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov noted.
"I want to emphasize that the best option for the realization of “Green Corridor” is the way through Makhachkala commercial seaport, which has direct access to the railways. Besides, Makhachkala seaport has advantages in terms of cost and delivery dates for goods, in contrast to other ways of transportation ", - Abdulatipov said, presenting the project “Caspian transport, logistics and maritime industrial complex” in Moscow.
As to Abdulatipov, Makhachkala commercial seaport is the only ice-free Russian port on the Caspian Sea, and has a railway crossing system with a capacity of approx. 20 thousand cars per year.
