Makhachkala, February 2, 2016. "Dagestan authorities need to pay closer attention to the full-scale development of hydropower resources" – the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov pointed out yesterday February 1 in his annual address to the National Assembly RD.

According to Abdulatipov, "the commissioning of Gotsatlinskaya HPS undoubtedly partially reduces the growing demand in electricity, but the idea of building a cascade of hydropower stations on the rivers Sulak, Samur, Avar and Andean Coysu cannot be refused".

Abdulatipov drew attention to the fact that it was necessary to develop an appropriate program for the development of hydropower potential of Dagestan, to actively interact with the "RusHydro" JSC and to attract private investments in hydroelectric power industry.

Dagestani Head noted that on the initiative of the Regional Government, Dagestan established a new network company, but nowadays the republican leadership takes deep concern about the state of electricity networks in the republic. "The government of the republic should examine the state of the electric grid with the "Rosset" JSC and to assist in the implementation of measures to replace the worn-out equipment and networks of electric power facilities in the republic.

It is also necessary to conduct a detailed analysis and work to achieve the effectiveness of the new company, which joined the grid and energy supplier in Dagestan "- Ramazan Abdulatipov instructed the republican Cabinet.
