Daghestan to ship second batch of flat glass to Turkey

Makhachkala, October 10, 2014. The second batch of Caspian float glass plant’s production is being prepared to set out to Turkey in the harbour of the Makhachkala Commercial Seaport, the press service of the port informs .

It is 2,113 tons of glass to be shipped to the capital of Turkey - Istanbul. They plan to supply 16,000 tons of flat glass by the end of the year. This year, the port’s turnover has exceeded last year's figures, and the current batch is also a contribution to it. Preparing ships does not take long, and sea transportation turns out to be more cost-effective than road or rail transportation.

In addition, the plant is getting ready to ship a large batch of glass to Georgian «Geoglass» company, and they are also expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The Caspian float glass plant is a large-scale private investment project of building an industrial enterprise producing 600 tons of flat glass per day.
