Dagestani farmers increase food production last year

Makhachkala, January 28, 2016. By results of 2015, Dagestani farmers managed to increase production of the main types of food products" the press-service of Dagestan ministry of agriculture informed the RIA "Dagestan.

In particular, the production of meat and by-products of first category has increased by 11.3%, sausage products by 10.2%, dairy products by 38%, butter by 8%, cheese and cheese products by 1%, confectionery products by 8.1%, non-alcoholic beverages by 18.6%, bread and bakery products by 0.3%.

In total, more than 60 large and medium-sized enterprises in the food processing industry functioned in 2015 in Dagestan. Approx. 22 million rubles were allocated to the agricultural producers as part of the departmental target programs "The development of products processing technologies in the livestock breeding industry for 2013-2015" and "The development of products processing technologies in plant cultivation industry for 2013-2015".

The subsidies were granted for the reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of technological equipment and glassware, as well as the electricity running costs, the source concluded.
