Dagestani delegate participates in round table on national agricultural growth

Moscow, December 30, 2014. Deputy head of Dagestan branch of the state-owned Rosselhoztsentr [Russian agricultural centre] Marat Davudov took part in the round table on national agriculture issues, the press service of the centre told RIA Dagestan.

Participants - federal and regional executive authorities, agricultural experts, heads of major producers, and officials from development institutions – assembled in the President-Hotel in Moscow to discuss the conceptual issues of the state program for developing agriculture and regulating agricultural food and raw materials markets in 2013-2020. Officials reported on the changes in the state program like new subprograms and additional goals aimed at accelerating the import substitution in agriculture.

Davudov commented, "In today’s political context, agriculture in Russia's does seem to have potential for development. Accordingly, the round table proved to be full of ideas. We considered many topical issues of agricultural development in Russia. Speakers told about government measures to support agriculture in 2015, about developing the export potential of the national agricultural sector, about applying a cluster approach to innovative development in agriculture, and about innovations in agriculture focusing on import substitution. I assured my colleagues that provided with orders, Dagestani agricultural producers will be ready to increase production and supply vegetables and meat products all to Russia regions."
