Dagestan to provide Iran with halal meat

Makhachkala, July 3, 2017. One of the leaders of Dagestan meat processing industry - the "Kizlyar Uritsky Meat Processing Plant" LLC plans to start deliveries of meat to Iran, - the press service of Kizlyar mayor's office says.

The specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan have recently visited the enterprise to meet with the company director Nurudin Omarov and to conduct an inspection survey. The Ministry officials inspected the compliance of technologies and personnel qualification  of the slaughter house with the "halal" principles approved by the Muftiyat of the Republic. The parties also discussed the possibility of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"The company has an opportunity to generate export of meat abroad in the nearest future. We do not doubt that the products of our company will soon appear on foreign markets" Alexander Shuvalov, the Mayor of Kizlyar said.

The products of Uritsky Meat Processing Plant are in great demand and are very popular not only in Dagestan, but also among the residents of the neighboring regions - Chechnya, Stavropol, Rostov and Volgograd. The company managers intend to create its own raw materials base for increasing the production of sausages and the release of new types of raw sausages, meat canned meat, meat and bone meal. In total, the enterprise intends to invest over 500 million rubles in its own production.
