Makhachkala, February 10, 2017. The Republic of Dagestan will present a development project of Makhachkala Commercial Seaport at the XVI Russian Investment Forum "Sochi-2017", the press service of the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Investment RD reports. The event will be held at the Olympic Park on February 27 - 28.

According to the source, this year the republic will not present a separate exposition: the model of Makhachkala seaport will be placed on the stand of the Northern Caucasus Development Corporation.
The model displays the harbor for cruise ships, yachts and boats, protective structures for shore protection, passenger berths, RoRo berths with facilities for containers and accumulation area for trailers and pontoon berths for boats Besides, the project envisages the construction of a maritime station with a capacity of up to 300 people and a hotel complex for 150 beds.

According to the project, the marina and waterworks will be built at the expense of the state budget. The construction of hotels and the modernization of infrastructure will require private investments. It is expected that the construction of these facilities will develop the tourism cluster of the republic and have a positive impact on the investment attractiveness of Dagestan.

Recall in 2016 Dagestan has presented 62 investment projects with investment potential of approx. 191 billion rubles and 111 investment proposals worth approx. 209 billion rubles.
