Dagestan to participate in Interregional Tourist Exhibition-Forum in Yalta

Makhachkala, February 9, 2016. Dagestan will be represented at the Russian inter-regional exhibition of tourism industry entitled “Crimea. Season – 2016” in Yalta on February 17 - 19, the head of the Tourist Information Centre in the Crimean Federal District Sharaputdin Salikhov told the RIA “Dagestan”.

"The exhibition is the largest official event, called to solve the problems of tourist business and to accumulate proposals from the Russian tourism companies for 2016 touristic season. More than 500 representatives of the health improving industry from the Crimea and Sevastopol, 250 representatives of travel agencies and media from other regions of Russia, CIS countries, the tour operators and travel agents, companies providing services in the sphere of transport and insurance are invited to participate in the Forum", - Salikhov noted.

According to Salikhov, the exhibition "Crimea. Season – 2016” will become a powerful platform to present and to promote the tourism brand of Dagestan on the domestic tourism market of the Russian Federation. "During the Forum, we will present a wide range of Dagestan tourist products for the touristic season of 2016 and demonstrate that Dagestan is known not only for its unique nature and climate, but also as a modern and promising region of Russia. Dagestan should become one of the leaders of domestic tourism in the Russian Federation. Dagestan suggests unique tourism products and introduces modern innovative approaches for the expansion of vacation opportunities"- Salikhov added.

The main touristic sights of Dagestan, presented at the exhibition relate to the natural peculiarities of the region: the Caspian Sea, the Samur forest, the Eolian town in the vicinity of Koog village in Khivsky district of Dagestan, the Sarykum dune, the Sulak canyon, the Gunib plateau, the highest mountains such as Yarydag, Shalbuzdag, Bazarduzu (all above 4000 meters), many hollows of Dagestan, the Karadahskaya narrow, wildlife sanctuaries and nature reserves, natural mineral springs, healing mud and much more.
