Dagestan to develop new tourist clusters

Makhachkala, November 17, 2016. In 2017, Dagestani authorities are going to develop new tourism projects with the total investment capacity of approx. 1 billion rubles both of budget allocations and private funds - the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts of the republic Magomed Isayev said.

The federal funding for the new tourism projects, "Golden Sands" and "Golden Dunes" within the framework of the target program "Development of domestic tourism in the years 2011-2018" will make approx. 250 million rubles, the co-financing - about 8 million rubles, while the remaining funds will be provided by the private investors.

Recall, the tourism cluster "Golden Sands" will be created on the Caspian shore in Derbent district of the republic. The area will be focused on  beach rest at the seaside. A dispensary for 180 places and all the necessary infrastructure will constitute the basis of the cluster.

The "Golden Dunes" – is a tourist cluster in Kizlyar district of Dagestan. It focuses on health and leisure, which envisages fishing, hunting, walking and other leisure activities for the tourists. In total, 3.4 billion rubles of investments needed to develop both of projects included into the federal program.
