Makhachkala, November 30, 2016. “Dagestan, due to its geographical location, can ensure the delivery of goods to Russia from many countries”- Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov stated at the plenary session of the IV International Conference on Investments and Railways Pricing held in Moscow.

Besides, R.Abdulatipov pointed out that Dagestan was interested in the development of regional and international production and trade relations, the press service of Dagestani Head and government administration reports.

"Our republic is situated on the" Silk Road ", and we can ensure the delivery of goods, including those from the Gulf countries, India, Azerbaijan and other countries", - Dagestani Head said.

In R. Abdulatipov’s opinion this will significantly increase the traffic load in the region. “Therefore, we have developed the project of the Caspian international transport and logistics complex, which envisages the construction of  the shipbuilding, ship repair, fish processing, production based on biotechnology and the other functional facilities", - R. Abdulatipov resumed.

As informed, the project is implemented jointly with the Russian Ministry of Transport under the coordination of the Ministry for Affairs of the Northern Caucasus.
The cost of the project is estimated at 127 billion rubles, of which more than 100 billion rubles of investments is expected to be involved by private investors from China, Iran, Vietnam and Turkey.
