Makhachkala, April 4, 2017. Dagestan will supply Iran with the chilled beef and mutton, the press service of Dagestan Ministry of Industry and Trade reports.

According to the spokesperson, the Islamic Republic of Iran decided to open its market of the chilled beef and mutton of Russian suppliers, including from Dagestan, and as a follow-up, Iran will export its dairy products into Dagestan.

As to the head of the association of Iran-Dagestan trade and economic cooperation Shamil Gadzhiev, the protocols had already been agreed upon and signed on the conditions for the supply of Russian meat to Iran. The next step will become the accreditation of enterprises, which will take about a month.

"During this time the Rosselkhoznadzor (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) will compile a list of producers with a safe veterinary situation wanted to export their products. Later, this document will be approved by Iran.

Besides, an agreement on the supply of frozen poultry meat from Russia into Iran intends to be signed this month. At the same time, the procedure for authorizing the importation of dairy products from Iran will take longer"- Gadzhiev said.

It should be noted that the decision to supply Dagestani meat products into Iran is the result of the work of the association of Iran-Dagestan trade and economic cooperation.
