Makhachkala, February 1, 2016. In 2015, Dagestan bakers produced 209.6 thousand tons of baked goods, which is 0.3% more than in 2014, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic reports. Small bakeries take up to 80% of the total volume of the production.

"The rapid development of small bakery shops in urban and rural areas led to a decrease in capacity utilization of large enterprises.The capacity of most bakeries is loaded on 30%. Several large bakeries are constantly working on expanding the range and improving the quality of products.

This applies to small and medium-sized bakeries, which began work on the principle of Western companies: opening of bakery shops "- the ministry official shared.

At the same time, the officer assured that so far the public demand for bread and bakery products is satisfied in full. Currently, the ministry employees, together with bakeries are trying to increase the production of grain products enriched with micro and macronutrients.
