Makhachkala, November 27, 2014. Dagestan is among top regions in business infrastructure availability. The ranking has been compiled and published by the "Generalny Director" (CEO) magazine. Dagestan’s companions in the list are St. Petersburg and Krasnodar, Kaliningrad and Leningrad regions.

When compiling the rankings, authors of the survey used 6 integrated indicators: labour force, demand for everyday goods and durable goods, the state of infrastructure, the economical situation, and specifics of the regional tax policy.

Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov spoke about the need to create infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses in his speech at the 1st Dagestan Forum of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. He stressed that currently, business opportunities are 20% used. "In all economical areas, Dagestan should be at the top, and it takes state support. Without one, import substitution is out of question. The republican budget ought to have reserve funds in the amount of RUB 1.2 billion for establishing infrastructure for small and medium businesses."- R. Abdulatipov said.
